Tim Meyer Founded the Meyer Group Architecture firm in 2008 during the depths of the Great Recession. His practice has been focused on non-profits, local municipalities, and the tribal communities of northern Minnesota.
Tim has worked extensively with the Native Community throughout Minnesota during his architecture career, including spending 12 years, from 1990 to 2022, as a Project Architect and Market Segment Manager for Krech Ojard & Associates.
Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience & Interior Design for Minnesota. Tim was appointed in 2023 to this post by Governor Walz.
Was appointed Co-chair of the committee by Mayor Roger Reinert in early 2024.
Joined the Executive Board of the Duluth HRA in 2021. Has worked hard to increase the quality and availability of affordable housing and is a staunch advocate for a supportive housing project led by the HRA.
Served on the Duluth Planning Commission for two terms from 2013-2021.
Served on the commission from 2008-2010 and was the chairman from 2008-2010. Helped craft Canal Park into the tourist hub it is today.
Served on the task force from 1997-1998.
Served on the commission from 1996-2000 as a board member and served as president from 2002-2004.
Was appointed by mayor Paine as the chairman in 2018.
